At the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for the Medieval and Early Modern Period, students can take courses of different departments related to the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period as Interdisciplinary Studies of the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. The courses are available as supplementary add-on course (24 ECTS) or major in-depth course (36 ECTS).

In every winter term, members of the IZMF additionally offer a series of lectures dealing with interdisciplinary topics.
The IZMF junior network has committed itself to encourage the scientific exchange among the different disciplines exploring the Middle Ages and the early modern period.
